AHA/BHA Peel

This method of peeling is the application of a Salicylic Acid (Beta), followed by an application of Glycolic Acid (Alpha). Beta-hydroxy acids are highly effective peeling agents and pore cleansers.  DO NOT USE SALICYLIC ACID IF YOU ARE PREGNANT OR ALLERGIC TO ASPIRIN OR FRUIT.  Alpha-hydroxy acids or fruit acids are water soluble and are one of the most effective exfoliating agents known.  Results are a marked improvement in skin tone, fine lines and scars.

Benefits of performing an Alpha Beta Peel:

• The customer receives the benefits of a full spectrum peel, Alpha Hydroxy Acid and Beta Hydroxy Acid.

• Research shows that Glycolic Acid will penetrate more effectively through an exfoliated surface. Applying Salicylic Acid Exfoliant prior to Glycolic Acid will achieve a superior facial peel.

• Unlike some peels, the A/B Peel does not damage the skin and has an extremely low rate of allergic reaction and irritation due to the absence of chemical irritants.

• With each additional Peel the skin is noticeably smoother, softer and more evenly pigmented. Fine lines, large pores and acne scars become less noticeable.

Step 1: SALICYLIC ACID Salicylic Acid, a Beta-Hydroxy Acid, is a highly effective superficial peeling agent and pore cleanser.Salicylic Acid loosens and removes aging cells, oil and debris attached to the skin surface, stimulates new skin cell production and increased collagen formation, is oil-soluble and lipophilic, thus it is able to penetrate sebum filled follicles and clean out clogged pores, resulting in marked improvement in acne prone skin.

Step 2 : GLYCOLIC ACID Glycolic Acid, otherwise known as Alpha-Hydroxy Acid, or Fruit Acid, is water-soluble and is one of the most effective exfoliation agents known.

Note:  Client should perform peels once a week for six weeks, followed by monthly peels and incorporating a daily maintenance regime using anti-age products.

Ingredients:  40% Ultrapure (tm) Peel --  Deionized Water, Ultrapure 40%, pH2.1 Glycolic Acid, Aloe Vera Gel, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Allantoin, Panthenol, Sodium Hydroxide, Methylisothiazolinone, Menthol Crystals, Chamomile Extract.

Salicylic Acid -  Alcohol, Propylene Glycol, Salicylic Acid 3% pH 2.1
